The baseline
The Nasscom-Zinnov GCC Landscape Report published in May 2026 is the most authoritative recurring measurement of the India GCC ecosystem. Its FY2026 figures: 2,117 operational GCCs in India, employing 2.36 million professionals, generating approximately USD 98.4 billion in market revenue. The ecosystem has grown 32 percent since FY2021, with more than 500 new centers and over 1,000 new units established in the past five years alone.
506 of the Forbes Global 2000 companies now operate a GCC in India. That is just over 25 percent of the world's largest public companies. The remaining 75 percent has not. The market still has its largest growth phase ahead of it.
The 2030 projection and what drives it
Nasscom and Zinnov project the market to reach USD 99 to 105 billion by 2030, at a 9 to 10 percent CAGR. The center count is expected to grow to 2,100 to 2,200. Total headcount will reach 2.5 to 2.8 million. Approximately 70 percent of Fortune 500 companies are projected to operate India GCCs by 2030.
The analysts are explicit about what drives the next phase: fast-growing mid-sized global companies and Forbes 2000 firms not yet present in India. That is, in effect, an independent analyst description of the Japanese underrepresentation gap and the German Mittelstand opportunity. The corridor intelligence thesis is not a contrarian bet. It sits squarely inside the market consensus.
Telangana's position in that market
Hyderabad hosts more than 355 GCCs, roughly a fifth of India's base. It recorded among the highest new-GCC counts of any Indian city in recent cycles. Its fully-loaded operating cost runs an estimated 15 to 20 percent below Bengaluru. The state has a single-window GCC policy and a target of attracting scores of new centers under the Beyond CURE directive.
With two live anchors from the Japan and Germany waves, a direct air connection to Frankfurt, and a validated corridor intelligence methodology, Telangana is better positioned to capture a disproportionate share of the next 500 GCCs than any state without that combination.
