The anchor that landed
In August 2025, Deutsche Borse Group, the operator of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and one of the world's leading market-infrastructure providers, opened a Global Capability Center in Hyderabad. The center is focused on capital-markets platforms, AI and machine-learning analytics, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and cloud-native infrastructure. It is planned to create at least 1,000 IT-sector jobs within two years.
Two features of this entry make it the anchor event for the Germany-Telangana corridor.
The model: de-risked, partner-enabled, and replicable
Deutsche Borse established its Hyderabad center in partnership with ANSR, the leading provider of the GCC-as-a-service model. This is the precise entry path that German firms, and the Mittelstand in particular, demonstrably prefer: build-operate-transfer with a proven partner, not a cold start in an unfamiliar jurisdiction. The most significant German flagship to choose Hyderabad did so through exactly the mechanism this corridor is built around.
For the next German firm evaluating Hyderabad, that proof exists. A Frankfurt financial-markets company at scale, using the de-risked entry path, in the city, creating 1,000 jobs, with CM-level government backing. That evidence base did not exist before August 2025.
The signal: government engagement at the right level
In November 2025, a delegation led by the German Consul General and Deutsche Borse's Chief Information and Operating Officer met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directly. He pledged the state's full support, solicited further German investment in IT, pharma, and automotive, and requested German-language teaching support for Telangana students.
For the BFSI German cohort that matters most to Hyderabad, Munich Re, Hannover Re, Talanx, Commerzbank, and DWS Group are now looking at a city with a Frankfurt financial-markets anchor, a CM-level relationship with the German Consul General, and a direct Lufthansa connection. That is a meaningfully different pitch than any Indian state could make before 2025.
